Andrew Canterbury, MS, LCPC, ADHD-CCSP
Founder / Clinical Director
As Clinical Director of Upside Mental Health, Andrew Canterbury brings a deep well of expertise, compassion, and leadership to the forefront of addiction and mental health treatment. A Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and certified ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), Andrew specializes in treating mood disorders, drawing on years of experience in dual diagnosis care in the SUD and Mental Health fields.
Andrew received his Master of Science in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University, where he developed a strong foundation in both clinical theory and practice.
Known for an eclectic and person-centered approach, Andrew integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based practices. This flexible, responsive style allows for highly individualized care, supporting clients in building sustainable and lasting emotional wellness.
Under Andrew’s clinical leadership, Upside Mental Health embraces a holistic philosophy—treating the whole person, not just the symptoms—by addressing the emotional, physical, social, and spiritual dimensions of recovery. Passionate about clinical excellence and innovative care, Andrew is dedicated to empowering clients to reclaim their lives with clarity, resilience, and purpose.
Lindsay Safir, LMSW
Lindsay Safir is a dedicated and compassionate therapist who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2023, followed by a Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in Clinical Behavioral Health in 2024. Throughout her academic journey, Lindsay completed two internships focused on supporting individuals facing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges.
Lindsay approaches therapy through a strengths-based lens, helping clients recognize and build upon their inner resources while honoring the real-life barriers they may face. She utilizes Motivational Interviewing techniques to empower clients to set their own goals, advocate for their needs, and discover their full potential. Lindsay also incorporates attachment style awareness and relationship tools to support emotional healing and connection, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients reframe negative thoughts and replace cognitive distortions with more balanced perspectives.
Continually striving to grow as a clinician, Lindsay is actively pursuing further training in the fields of addiction and mental health to better serve diverse populations. Outside of her professional work, Lindsay enjoys staying active, taking walks with her dog, and hosting game nights with friends.
Chelsea Leubbert, LCSW-C
Clinical Supervisor
Chelsea Leubbert is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Supervisor at Upside Mental Health, where she is dedicated to both client care and the development of fellow clinicians. She is deeply passionate about supporting therapists in delivering compassionate, meaningful care that fosters growth, healing, and lasting change.
Chelsea approaches her work with a strong sense of purpose and gratitude, finding fulfillment in helping individuals reconnect with themselves and move toward relief from emotional distress. Her perspective is shaped by personal experiences of overcoming hardship, which informs her empathetic, grounded, and client-centered approach.
Outside of her professional role, Chelsea stays connected and inspired through time with loved ones, being in nature, engaging in creative pursuits, and reading, practices that deepen her understanding of the human experience and enrich the care she provides.
Sherma Augustine, PMHNP-BC
Sherma Augustine is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Upside Mental Health, bringing over 30 years of experience in behavioral health. She began her nursing career in 1989 in Trinidad and Tobago before relocating to the United States in 1995. Sherma completed her advanced practice training at Walden University and the University of Maryland and has been practicing as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner since 2021.
Sherma has a longstanding passion for psychiatry and brings a depth of experience from both her years as a registered nurse and her work as a nurse practitioner. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety and related disorders and has extensive experience supporting individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
Known for her warm and approachable style, Sherma is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where individuals feel heard, understood, and respected. She believes that compassion, humor, and strong therapeutic relationships are essential in helping people navigate even the most challenging moments.
Outside of her professional role, she enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and embracing new experiences.
Olivia Asbury
Administrative Assistant
Olivia Asbury serves as an Administrative Assistant, supporting both clinical and operational functions while continuing to grow her experience in the behavioral health field. She also serves as a mental health intern, where she has the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with experienced professionals, further strengthening her clinical insight and interpersonal skills.
Olivia is committed to fostering meaningful human connection and creating an environment where individuals feel comfortable, supported, and confident in who they are. She is driven by witnessing growth, both in herself and in those she works with, which continues to reinforce her passion for the field.
Beginning in Fall 2026, Olivia will pursue a Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Maryland School of Social Work in Baltimore, further advancing her commitment to making a meaningful impact in behavioral health.
Outside of her professional role, Olivia values spending time with the people closest to her while also prioritizing self-discovery and exploring hobbies and interests that bring her fulfillment.
Rachael Zuskin
Intern
Rachael Zuskin is a Master’s-Level Social Work Intern at Upside Mental Health, where she is dedicated to supporting individuals in their journey toward healing, growth, and lasting change. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Salisbury University, with an anticipated graduation in 2026, and is committed to continually advancing her clinical skills through ongoing education and training.
Rachael’s path into this field is shaped by her own life experiences, which have strengthened her passion for walking alongside others as they navigate personal challenges and emotional growth. She is driven by a genuine commitment to helping individuals become the best version of themselves.
Her approach is collaborative and client-centered, focusing on building strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, respect, and open communication. Rachael utilizes a range of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral techniques, strength-based perspectives, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing, to support individualized care and empower clients to achieve meaningful, lasting change. She enjoys working with individuals across all age groups, including children.
Outside of her professional role, Rachael finds joy in spending time with her loved ones, being in nature, and engaging in continued learning and creative pursuits.
